SECURING YOUR DATE: We require no less than 1 month notice for celebration cakes, 3 months or more notice for wedding cakes and all bookings depend on our availability. A 40% non refundable deposit is required to secure the date and the balance is payable two weeks prior to your event. Any cancellations received within this time will be non refundable.

DELIVERY AND SETUP: Cakeit4U is able to deliver your cake to any venue from Byron Bay to the Sunshine Coast. Delivery and set up fees are dependent on the location and set up involved. Please be aware that we take every precaution necessary to deliver your cake in perfect condition and on time, however in the event of an accident or traffic delays where the cake may get damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced, Cakeit4U will not be held liable.

We will set up your cake at your desired area and we ask that you please ensure your venue has a heavy, sturdy table on which to place your cake. Cakeit4U will not be held responsible for any damage that may occur to the cake after completion of delivery and setup at your venue, . 

 

PICK UP: If you wish to pick up your cake or have someone pick it up for you, please be aware that you assume all liability and responsibility of the cake once it leaves Cakeit4U. We will provide you with information on how best to transport your cake to ensure it arrives safely. 

 

CAKE STORAGE: If your cake needs to be stored prior to the event, remember that fondant covered cakes should not be stored in the fridge. Once removed from a fridge, it will begin to sweat and any sugar flowers or decorations will be unable to hold their shape. A buttercream covered cake can be stored in the fridge. All of our cakes are made fresh and will last up to a few days without refrigeration. 

 

DUMMY CAKES: If you would like a multi-tiered cake but have a smaller budget or number of guest, we can incorporate "dummy cakes" into the overall look. These are usually made of polystyrene foam and are covered in fondant and decorated, providing a seamless and beautiful appearance. 

 

DOWELS: Dowel rods are used to provide support to mulit-tiered cakes and are crucial in stopping the top cake from sinking into the cake below. They are made out of wood or plastic and are inserted into the cake to enable another tier to be placed over the top.

 

FRESH FLOWERS: Fresh flowers make a gorgeous addition to any cake. We work with an wonderful florist who can provide flowers to match the theme of your day. Remember, some flowers are toxic and cannot be placed on a cake. We also recommend investigating the seasonal availability of your preferred flowers.

STAND HIRE: Cakeit4U can provide the hire of cake stands for your cake. A fee applies for the hire and is dependent on the size and type of stand required.  We also have a number of different sized acrylic cake spacers for hire, which not only add extra height to your cake, but extra WOW!
